Transformers 3, Dark of the Moon: Saving The Humans

Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth's past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.

The promo for Transformers – Dark of the Moon features no robot-on-robot action, preferring instead to show Michael Bay's interesting take on the 1969 moon landing. According to Bay, Neil Armstrong and co weren't just making one giant leap for mankind, they were also investigating a crashed spaceship, which of course houses a giant Transformer.

Remembering The King Of Pop: Michael Jackson

It was a week ago after the 10th Philippine Toycon when I get surprise to see the King of Pop on the second day of Toycon, yes it was the King of Pop but of course its just one of his impersonators trying to imitate everything of him. I actually feel sad but then feel happy at the same time to look at him while he was mimicking my one any only idol in dancing and singing.

I feel sad because I remember that we cannot bring back the past, and we cannot show him anymore what we can do for him. However, I feel happy because the good memories of Michael Jackson have been getting alive again through people like him.
I did not let the day pass without talking to the guy who makes me feel good to remember Michael Jackson again. His name is Dan P. Geromo, a Junior Visualizer in his day job, and a cosplayer and rock star at the same time of wonderb.multiply.com. It was such a great day to meet this guy. I did not think twice to ask him to take pictures with and talk to him, as if I was talking to the real MJ. Oh my god, I can't believe it! I know MJ is dead, but I know he is still alive in my heart.

Today as Michael Jackson's second year death anniversary, as I recall the day when I heard the news about his passing away, I did again feel sad. I know deep in my heart, there is a little emptiness that I can't explain why I am feeling this way. Indeed I told myself to think those great things he has done in this world. I remember the day when I was a kid when my aunties ask me to dance the song "Beat it" and dance it in front of their friends. I remember the first MJ song that I have memorized, which is "Ben", the first MJ music video that I watch, which is "Triller" and even my favorite songs of him, such as "They don't care about us", "We are the world", "Black and white" and of course "You are not alone".

Michael Jackson is really one of a kind. No one can ever replace him. There is only one Michael Jackson in this world and one King of Pop. That is why there are lots of people in the this world who value him like a real treasure, I have seen this 10 terrific video tributes for the King of Pop in Remembering Michael Jackson in mashable.com and I do love it . Thanks to the people who still supports and remember Michael as always.

I believe, like other MJ fans out there that he truly inspires millions of people from all walks of life. As it always says, Michael Jackson taught us to believe, to dream and to love...

IBM Philippines Top Executive Receives CEO EXCEL Award

(L-R):  Kane Choa, Director - IABC Philippines, Ritzi Ronquillo, VP - IABC Philippines, James Velasquez - Country General Manager, IBM Philippines, Elpi Cuna -Chairman, IABC Philippines and Chit Arce, Presdent -IABC Philippines.
IBM Philippines President and Country General Manager James Velasquez was honored by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines with the coveted Communication Excellence in Organizations (CEO EXCEL) Award during the 2011 CEO EXCEL Awarding Ceremonies held recently at The Atrium, Enderun Colleges, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

James Velasquez’ exceptional use of communication strategies and tools in management and leadership helped achieve business and social goals for IBM in the Philippines.

IABC Philippines Chairman Elpi O. Cuna said, “Each year since 2005, the circle of communication leaders and exemplars has been growing. They encourage us all to further the use of ethical and competent communication as an inseparable part of business strategy and people management. As the  President and Country General Manager in IBM, James Velasquez has supported our country’s national agenda for good governance and economic growth.”

Last year, Velasquez led IBM’s expansion strategy, opening three news facilities in the UP-Ayala Techno Hub and one in Cebu.  He also ramped up partnerships with the government to work towards a Smarter Philippines while sustaining various corporate citizenship programs ensuring the company gave back to the community.

"Innovation happens at a quicker pace now, people share so much information with each other so easily, and the best way to meet their expectations is through communication and open iteration. That means using pilots, continual adaptation and social media to reach out to employees, consumers and business partners. It’s one thing to tell employees or citizens that a project or a product is good for them. It’s another to spur buy-in and innovation by involving these people in the creative process, acting on their feedback and suggestions and keeping them up to date about the problems and successes the project is having. A good example is when we came together online in a global brainstorming session over 72 hours in what we call a “jam.” I guess we’d call it social media today. It was messy, passionate and contentious. But in the end, IBMers embraced a new set of values – because together we had shaped them," said Velasquez.

The CEO EXCEL is the highest individual award of communication excellence given by IABC Philippines. Awardees are judged against the award criteria and the required content and outline for specific programs that clearly show that they championed excellent communication to achieve business goals and led for good governance and responsible corporate citizenship, inspiring others and serving the greater good.  This year’s results were tabulated and verified by Isla Lipana & Co., a member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The CEO EXCEL Awards is the Philippine counterpart of the global EXCEL Award. It recognizes the use of outstanding communication strategy, skills and leadership.

It Wouldn't be fair to call Cars 2 To be Mater's Movie

It wouldn't be fair to call "Cars 2" a critical crash and burn. But Pixar films are held to a higher standard, and based on early reviews, this may be the worst reviewed Pixar film yet.

"The movie is built to move merchandise."

"Takes the bold, arguably generous and ultimately calamitous step of pushing its lovable, goofy second banana to the center of the action."

"Second banana is of course, Mater".

"Lightning’s racing exploits are secondary."
- A.O. Scott of The New York Times

"This ['Cars 2'] is Mater's movie. It's a Materthon. I would call it Materific if he didn't leave me longing for 'WALL-E's' robot to crush him into a silent cube."
- Mary Pols of TIME magazine

"Forced emphasis on misunderstood country bumpkin Mater."
"never achieves the intended emotional weight — he’s a rube with a heart of gold, a simpleton out of place next to Pixar’s more complex and multilayered heroes."
- Geoff Berkshire of Metromix

There are also plenty of critics who are giving the movie positive marks.

"Lightning and Mater mix it up with Formula 1 and spies in yet another Pixar winner,"

"Running at close to the red line from start to finish with nary a pit stop to refuel."
- Todd McCarthy from The Hollywood Reporter

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times also had a fine time at the movies. He gives Cars 2 three and a half out of four stars and calls the movie fun. He also praises the amazing visuals and attention to detail and points out that Mater is the true star of Cars 2 but unlike other critics, Ebert doesn't seem to mind it at all.

PLDT myDSL’s Internet to Sawa TRANSFORMS my Internet experience from oldest way to modern connection

During my college days I used to use modems and dial up to connect on internet to get my assignments, research and other surfing stuff that I need at school. I was so hard for me to get connected on internet to get the speed I wanted to finish my homework. And during that time, broadband access is not yet available.

Today with the modern world as PLDT myDSL has been introduced, the broadband access in modern day technology that allows us for high-speed  internet access via the usual copper wire lines. As PLDT the only telecommunications company with the fastest, most reliable and cost-efficient voice, data and video transmission services running through a single multi service network.

What brings us to have fun with the best broadband service? Of course, their fastest internet connection which brought us fellow Nuffnangers to have a chance to get closer to the brand they're promoting and to meet other members of the community.

Toycon 2011: The Second Day

After the first day who is so fun and I did enjoy, the second day was really amazing for you really never know what will happen on the event. The tree halls of Megatrade was jam packed of people from the Cosplay Nation hall, Sponsors section and stage at hall 2 up to the exhibit and Gallery hall.

And it was started with the panel of discussion about the toys and you can take good care of it aside from how you can customized it.

There will be a lots of guest whom you didn't expect to happened.  It was such a great experience to add in my memoirs archive this spectacular gathering of toy collector, hobbyist, cosplayers and some other people who just drop by just to know what's going on inside the Megatrade Hall.

The second day was full packed of different bands performing at the stage in hall 2 while in the Hall 3 the Cosplay Nation stage, as they making the live filming of the movie was crowded by the cosplayers who participate on the film was like a concert scene and somewhat like a ASAP stage. In the afternoon, another discussion about comic book and comic artist was present.

It makes me so surprise to see the King of Pop was there... OMG, Michael Jacson is in Toycon! whhhattt? and so, there was this one person who impersonate MJ and it makes me really feel happy to see him not just because I will get a chance to take a pictures with him but of course to reminisce the great times of our King of Pop (ohh, I really miss MJ).  And then the day was ended with an exciting raffle on stage with different prizes and gifts coming from the sponsors and a PS3 and Rock Band set on stake as the major prize, WOW.

What so unusual in this event was people come along to witness and participate this one big occasion forgetting bad things in their life and all they know is just that they have to be there to be part of the fun. All in all the event was tremendously great and I would say that its worth to get tired off because the fun itself was  fantastically payed.

Cosplayers are well dress with their favorite costumes as they walk around the mall as well as inside the Megatrade. These people are very much dedicated to their doing as they portrait the characters from different cartoons, games and anime.

At the gallery area my ever favorite Superman had a life size figure not only 1 but four of them. The car collection of Marc Razonable was great that my son did enjoy a lot. Also, I was very much delighted when i saw Betty Boop. Wanna buy it but... but... but...  so expensive.

\

One of the highlights of the event was the group of pretty girls dancing in their french maid costume, The Meidolls Girls headed by Reia. Next is when the Cardio Boys who made the crowd go wild as they dance in their aerobics costumes and had show down with the Cherifer mascot. Hahaha, he dance like a pro because he even back flip and split. Wow!

I was so exhausted because I'm doing a double task for the day. Doh! I did make it, I know! Most people I have seen are really really into collecting stuff of their choice. I can say that I even had fun during the day 1 and one thing is, its all because of my son. He is wearing a Luffy costume and he is so cute.
